Xtreme Scuba is quickly becoming a NAUI premier center in Southern California with NAUI Recreational, Tec, and Leadership courses being conducted monthly. We also specialize in closed circuit rebreathers using NAUI Tec as the training agency for the Inspiration, Evolution, Megladon, Prism II, and KISS CCR’s.

Scuba diving is an adventure sport, and as such, it has inherent risks. NAUI understands this. We also understand that the only way to minimize risk is to maximize education. There are many scuba certification programs available today, but there is only one that can be called a scuba education program. And, education is the true NAUI difference.

To earn the coveted NAUI Instructor rating our Instructor candidates undergo a grueling leadership training program requiring extensive diving knowledge and superior water skills. At every step they are challenged to make independent and correct decisions and value judgments regarding the level of risk inherent in all types of diving situations.

Those who successfully complete this exceptional program become NAUI Instructors and are granted the freedom to adapt their teaching to meet the individual and regional needs of their students... individuals like you.

Scuba Diver is NAUI’s entry level scuba certification course during which you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safely scuba dive in open water. When you complete your class you and your buddy will be free to explore and discover the many wonders of the underwater world…and, you will have earned a NAUI Scuba Diver certification card – the most respected diver certification card in the world!

While Xtreme Scuba offers basic entry level dive courses our main emphasis is on technical extended range diving. As such, our courses from the very beginning emphasize a more “technical” approach to training with the idea that the student will be progressing up through the technical diver ratings. Admittedly, extended range diving is not for everyone but if you’re curious give us a call and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you.

Is technical diving for you? NAUI Technical Courses are designed for divers whose interests include diving beyond traditional recreational limits and specific areas of technical diving. Accordingly, technical diving courses are designed to provide more detailed training than specialty diver courses, and result in more extensive qualifications.
